Sand Hallow-Utah

Sand Hallow is a new state park. It is approximately 15 miles east of St. George. Sand Hallow has a resevoir that you can take your water crafts out on, then you can take your atv's out on the sand dunes. When we were there we were not able to find a large amound of bowls and sand hills. We have been told though that they do exist.

The fees are:
$21.00 for improved camping (there is no OHV access)
$9.00 for primitive camping in the OHV area.
$7.00 for day use

Little Sahara-Utah

Little Sahara is half an hour west of Nephi. There is camping, there are three different campgrouns, or you can camp in the parking lot at the base of Sand Mountain. Sand Mountain is around 700 feet tall.

The fees are $8.00 a day and you have to be out by 2:00 PM the next day. There is no extra charge for camping. On holiday weekends it gets crowded as it does everywhere else.

There are water spouts and Pot style toilets.

St. Anthony-Idaho

The best sand dunes I have ridden are in St. Anthony Idaho. They are ten minutes outside of Rexburg, and five minutes outside of St. Anthony. There is Camping and there is a pond you can ride through. Last time I was there it was no more than 3 feet deep. There is a light in the parking lot so you know where it is.

There are Different kinds of camping and different price ranges. From $12.00 a night up to $30.00 a night, depending on the size of the spot and the amenities.

There is water spouts and Pot style toilets.
